Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and our wider School Community
Supporting The Warrnambool Botanic Gardens
The Warrnambool Botanic Gardens is trying to gain approval by Heritage Victoria to create a beautiful nature play space on the St Josephs side of the gardens near the existing pond.
If you have a spare minute can you please show your support to get this initiative off the ground by emailing contact@warrnambool.vic.gov.au
It is hoped that with public support in the form of emails that Heritage Victoria will issue a permit to create this amazing project. The link below can give you some ideas for your email submission if needed. The link also has a copy of the plan.

The second Parent Teacher interviews are late in Term 2 to allow the parents and teachers to discuss students’ mid year formal written reports.

A big thank you to all those families who came along on Wednesday night and caught up with old friends and hopefully met some new families as well. It was great to meet all the new families in our school community and we hope the picnic enabled you to meet some new people.
The children loved playing in the playground, running around with their class mates and dancing to the music. We were certainly blessed with the weather.
Our next PSA meeting is Tuesday 11th February, please feel free to come along and join us. Meetings take place in the staff room at 7:30pm. See you there.

Elise Smock, Choir Co-ordinator
Students from Years 3-6 are invited to join our 2020 choir program. The choir is an extra-curricular program which engages students in a different way to the classroom program and offers positive experiences which raise self-esteem.
The rewards of being in the school choir are plentiful they include developing and extending their musical knowledge and skills, self-conficence, self-discipline and team work.
There are many opportunities for performance within the school and wider community which also contributes to the development of a sense of personal accomplishment and cultivates a positive self-image.
Rehearsals will take place in the foyer of the hall at the new time of 8:15 am on a Monday morning beginning the 17th February.
Students are welcome to come along to a few Choir rehearsals at the beginning of the year to see what Choir is all about. There is absolutely no pressure to join during the 3 week trial period but after this time we do ask that a year long commitment be made.
Children were invited to attend a meeting at recess last Thursday and took home a copy of a letter and expression of interest form. Spare copies are available from the office.
We look forward to a fun filled musical year!
Students from our school have the opporunity to participate in the Commonwealth School Banking program.
Information books will come home with Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students. Students from other year levels can collect an information book from the office if they are interested.
Students who participate in the program drop their deposit books into the yellow tub at the office on a Monday and these are returned during the week.
Welcome and thanks to our new parent volunteer, Melissa Happ.
A full Term Roster will be available shortly once we have received updated volunteer availability, in the interim a two week roster is available.
