Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
Year 3 Camp
Good luck to our Year 3 students who are off on camp this week down at the Warra Gnan Coastal Camp in South Warrnambool. The weather looks promising so they will be able to enjoy all of the activities; fishing, surfing and bike riding as well as the highlight of the “Shipwrecked” Sound and Light Show at Flagstaff Hill.
Year 4s head to Kangaroobie next week.
Volunteers
Thanks to our wonderful volunteers.
The Election Day BBQ and Cake Stall was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who baked and to those who volunteered their time to turn and sell the sausages. Early numbers suggest that we raised about $2,500 on the day.
The Mother’s Day Stall was another exciting experience for the children who put a deal of effort and procrastination into their choices for their mums. Thanks to Holly Coffey who coordinated the purchasing of the gifts (and her mum who wrapped most of them) and to the volunteers who helped with the sales.
We are looking forward to the Mother’s Day Breakfast on Friday morning. This event does not get off the ground without the vision and leadership of the Parents School Association and our volunteer helpers. Thanks in advance to all involved (photos and a full report next week).

On Friday 30th May, St. Joseph's students will be taking part in the Big Water Walk to fundraise for Caritas. Different year levels will take different walking routes near or at school, to raise awareness of the kilometres that some people walk to access water.
Every day, millions of people around the world face unimaginable challenges just to access basic essentials like clean water, healthcare and safe shelter. Project Compassion helps to change that, by providing critical resources and opportunities for people to reclaim their lives with dignity, resilience and hope. But Caritas need your help. Together, we can give people the dignity, safety, and opportunities they deserve. Please support Caritas. Every dollar raised will help to create real and lasting change for vulnerable communities around the world!
If you can help, please donate to our St. Joseph's page to raise all that we can for this cause. Feel free to send the QR code to family and friends.
Children arrive at school early with their mum and enjoy a breakfast with a choice of BLT roll, Pancakes or Yoghurt, Granola and Berries.
