Principal Message | Matthew O'Brien
Thank you to everyone involved in making the Year 5 and Year 6 camp a success – your time, effort and care are truly appreciated.
A huge thank you as well to all the staff who kindly took on additional yard duties and classroom supervision during this time. Your support helped everything run smoothly back at school.
I will continue to be in Melbourne with my family next week while my dad is still unwell.

Exciting news: Laura Dunn is officially on maternity leave!

We wish you all the very best as you embark on this beautiful new chapter of motherhood. You will be deeply missed, but we’re so excited for what lies ahead for you.

Nearly there…a shorter term, but it has been a busy term! A big thank you for all of the work in classrooms, interventions, yard support, special activities, office/sick bay and maintenance of our school. Our students and staff are fortunate to come every day to such a vibrant and supportive community. Enjoy the last week and have a wonderful break.

Co-created prayer - It has been so exciting seeing the planning in teams in order to have a go at co created prayer next term. A big thanks to Nell who has put together this resource - a scaffold/description for each part of co created prayer not linked to any scripture.
REAP - As you may have seen in the DOBCEL newsletter it is highly unlikely that a new cohort for this program will run until 2027. However it is important to note that these courses (that can be done online) will also give you your Catholic Accreditation. Sponsorship through DOBCEL is available. It would be great if we had a couple of people working through this together.

All staff are invited to another end of term celebration, for all schools, at The Seanchai on Friday 19th September from 2pm. Happy Hours 3.30pm-5.30pm.
It was a great night at the end of last term, so it would be great to support this again.

NEW Online Maintenance & OHS Management system: As a part of our partnership with Danihers we have now introduced their online Maintenance & OHS Management system. This will replace the use for our maintenance@ and ohs@ emails that all staff currently use.
Please bookmark this link on your computer or phone to access the new system. I am happy to do some run throughs of this in the staff room at lunch times if that would help.
Essentially you will need to enter your name and email address (both of which should pre-populate if you use the same device), select the room or area of the school the issue relates to (you can start to type a room number e.g. B1 and it will narrow the list for you) and then enter a summary of the issue in the description field. Under the priority drop down you will be selecting a timeline or urgency of the task.
OHS (urgent attention required) would only be used for serious items e.g. water is pouring in through the roof, you have found a live wire some where, a window and has left broken glass exposed etc
If a child has vomited or had a toileting accident please still call the office.
DFMS (Maintenance & OHS Management system)
This will allow us to monitor more closely if the same issue keeps arising, or if it is in the same area of the school.
A message from Georgia Johnston (living her best life in Vietnam):
Having the best time, mastered the scooter, swimming everyday and the kids are really settled. Very happy!
