SSV Update
Interschool sport – current status
School Sport Victoria advises that no interschool sporting events and competitions will run in Term 2.
Some interschool sporting events and competitions have been cancelled and will not run in 2020. These include:
- Local district or division events which cannot be rescheduled to later in the year. This may be due to the seasonality of the sport, access to venues or availability of schools to participate ...
- Senior team sports (Year 11/12), including Premier League competitions, as many of these were due to be run over Term 2 and 3 and will not be rescheduled.
- Region and State Championships for cross country and winter team sports due to be held in Term 3, meaning that progression to a Region or State Championship will not occur for the following sports: Australian Football, badminton (secondary only), bowls (secondary only), cross country, hockey, netball, soccer and tee ball (primary only).
- State Championship competition for swimming is cancelled. The remaining Division and Region Championships may be delivered in Term 4, where possible.
