BIG WALK FOR WATER
St Joe’s Big Walk for Water
On Friday 30th May, the entire St Joseph’s school community came together for a very special cause – The Big Walk for Water. Students and teachers joined forces to raise money for Caritas Australia, supporting communities around the world who struggle to access clean water.
Despite the drizzly weather, spirits were high as everyone took part in a one-hour walk while carrying buckets of water. This symbolic act helped us better understand the daily challenge many children face just to collect something as basic as water.
There was a strong sense of community throughout the event, as students and teachers encouraged each other to keep going, even when the buckets felt heavy and hands grew tired. It was a powerful reminder of how lucky we are—and how small actions can make a big difference.
We are incredibly proud to announce that we raised $2,903 for Caritas! A heartfelt thank you to all our students, staff, and families for your support and generosity.
Well done, St Joe’s!
