State Football Finals

It was an outstanding display of skill and sportsmanship by our football team (pictured below after their Regional Final win) who braved the windy and cold conditions in Greensborough last Wednesday. 

After winning two preliminary games against St Mary’s Sale (5.2-32 - 0.2-2) and Guthrie St Shepparton (4.2-26 - 2.5-17). Their next match they played in a match to decide if they were going to make it through to the grand final. Unfortunately, they were defeated by two points (4.4-28 - 4.2-26) in a really hard fought game. 

Congratulations to all involved on the day. Particularly those who made the long journey to support the team and to Mr McMillan for his wonderful coaching skills all throughout the tournaments played. 

5/6 Hoop Time Basketball

All the best to our 5/6 Hoop Time Teams who will play off next Friday in the Hoop Time Tournament at the Arc Stadium. Both teams have been training hard in preparation for the tournament.  Special thanks to Katie O’Keefe who has assisted with coaching the girls team over the last few weeks. 

AFL 9’s Grade 3/4

Last Friday, Mr McMillan took the Grade 3/4 students for a footy skills coaching clinic.  Soon the teams will be announced for the upcoming tournament on the 17th September. At this stage, it is unknown how many teams our school will be eligible to enter.  Children and parents will be notified soon of the teams and arrangements for the day.
