LRC UPDATE
Squishface Studios Workshop with Year 4 students.
On Tuesday 20th August, Sarah, Rachel and David from Squishface Studios visited our Year 4 students in the library and held a workshop. We did lots of activities such as a Bad Self Portrait, we learnt how to draw emotions and the dice game that helped us learn how to start a story.
The Bad Self Portrait was when you had to draw yourself on a piece of paper but with your eyes closed. It was really fun and also challenging. The next activity we did was drawing different emotions. We drew a happy face, a sad face, a scared face, a surprised face and a disgusted face, all with different methods of adding great detail. There was also the dice game. So we had to roll a dice and there were different sections and things you could roll like if you rolled a 1- your character might get crab claws.
All around it was a fun, incredible and exciting experience and we hope they come back next year.

Save The Date!
Our annual Book Week Costume Parade will be held in Week 8 on Friday 6th September, 2024!
Our annual Book Week Costume Parade will be in Week 8 Friday September 6th. This is a bit later than the official date which offers you the chance to borrow costumes from friends and relatives who may have already had their Book Week at other schools. There is no expectation to spend any money on costumes, as I also have many options for students to borrow from the Library for the day too. This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic!’
Please email me if you have any questions or if your child needs some costume items.
