PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Matthew O'Brien, Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
Father’s Day
Mrs Chisholm and the choir performing at the Father’s Day Breakfast.
Thanks to everyone involved in the wonderful Father’s Day Breakfast last Friday. Especially to our team of volunteers who cooked, served, set up and cleaned up.
A special mention to our sponsors for the day Woolworths who donated goods and staff, Harvey Norman for the photo opportunity and Bloom Bar for providing flowers.
Raffle
Congratulations to Mrs Ewing and her family for winning the $10,000 grand prize in our Playground Raffle.
As Mrs Ewing bought her ticket through the school office there was no ticket seller on the winning ticket.
We drew a further ticket to give away the “seller’s prize” of a St Joseph’s Family Fee for one year. The McDowall Family (Harvey D5 and Nelson B4) were the lucky winners.
Thanks to everyone for your ongoing support.
This has been a great fundraiser. All of the profits will go towards our new playground.
We made a grand profit of $28,240.28
A big shout out to Cathy Duynhoven for attracting our sponsors and for following up on our ticket sellers.
C2 was the class that had the highest ratio of tickets sold to students and have won a classroom party for themselves.
Cyber Safety
The Cyber Safety Session planned for tonight has been postponed so that it coincides with the student session which was unable to be run yesterday due to the power failure.
Book Week
Please see further into this newsletter for all of our Book week details. Thanks to Mrs LLoyd, Mr El-Hage and our Arts Team for the preparation they have put into decorating our school and organising the activities.
Wild Weather - Trees Down
Thanks to all of our staff and families who have made accommodations in our recent wild weather. You may have noticed that we have lost a few trees including two large trees just inside our front gate.
