PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Matthew O'Brien, Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
First Eucharist
Prayer For Children Celebrating
Receiving The Eucharist
For The First Time
Loving God,
May those who come to your table
know the peace of Jesus,
The light of his love
and
the joy of his life.
Amen
This weekend many of our Year 4 students (and some from other year levels) will celebrate receiving the Eucharist for the first time.
Thanks to the parents and teachers who have supported them through their preparation.

Year 5 Camp
Last week I had the pleasure of joining the Year 5 children on their three day camp at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. The camp was action packed from start to finish and included the whole year level erupting on Wednesday evening when Sam Kerr kicked her goal.
I’d like to acknowledge and thank Mark Gercovich for his organisation and leadership, Ms Whichello and Mrs Lee for their tireless care and concern for all of the children (especially at night!) Emily and Laura (our trainees) for their energy and enthusiasm and our parents Glen, Glen, Rachel and Nicole for their support.
Arts Week
The school has been transformed into one giant gallery over the last few weeks. This week the classes are detouring from their normal routines and participating in extra art lessons. We have an artist with us for the week Jan Wositzky who will be working with all of the classes. Jan is a musician and storyteller.
One of the highlights that we are all looking forward to is the St Joseph’s Got Talent extravaganza. The winners from each year level will be performing their acts at assembly on Friday.
Many thanks to our staff, led by our wonderful Arts’ Team for their energy, creativity and time that they have put into the organisation and preparation of the festivities.
Congratulations Amy Wormald
Congratulations to St Joseph’s own Miss Wormald in winning the Division 1 Big V Basketball premiership in front of a full house on Saturday.
