St Joseph’s School Prayer 

Throughout 2022 a team of teachers and students worked in partnership with our CEB colleague, Gina Bernasconi, to recontextualize the St Joseph’s School Prayer.  This means we worked to develop a faithful prayer that is invitational, meaningful and respectful of our context, and the community who will engage with this prayer (students, staff, families and the wider school community). We did this by incorporating the 10 characteristics of Prayer for a Catholic school - guide-markers for being in a prayerful space appropriately together - and then we asked for feedback from students, teachers and families.  We are really proud of our Prayer and are now looking at how best to publish it to share with you.  

What we are asking of you 

 Read the prayer,        

share the prayer,        

spend time contemplating the prayer.     

Think about the words  - What do they mean to you?  What speaks to you? What reflection(s) do they prompt?

Using any medium you love we are asking you to provide a 2D artwork(s), preferably A4 or A3 in size, that complements and enhances the prayer.
Representations are welcome by all age groups. 

Please submit all artworks to the school office by the end of Term 1, Thursday 6th April, 2023.
