BOOK WEEK WRAP-UP
Last week was a week to celebrate Books! Learning to love literature becomes a life-long habit with the support of so many people. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who negotiated potential costumes with their children and ensured they had something to wear that celebrated their reading choices!

We had Pop-Up library venues, Colouring-in competitions, Wet Day timetable Book Week Trivia, Dream-Catchers and games too! We would like to also express our sincere gratitude to those who donated books to our 2nd Hand Book Sale. The Mini-Vinnies group showed dedication to operating the stall each day and raising over $348.00.
We are thrilled to also have the winner of one of the CBCA categories for Book of the Year - Jetty Jumping. Andrea Rowe will come and visit the Year 1 and 2 students on Wednesday 7th September. Followed by another local author/illustrators of 'Wylah - the Koorie Warrior' visit the Year 3 and 4 students on Friday 9th September. How lucky we are to have the opportunity to engage our students with such fantastic Australian literature!
Thanks again to all the staff, especially Layla Monk, who helped make this week a memorable one for our students.
