PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Matthew O'Brien, Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
God of the branches,
God of the vine,
God of the fruit that will last,
when much of the familiar is pruned away --
the work routine, the school run, the certainty of our day.
May we see what is good and true blossom in reassuring ways:
colleagues working as one, children returning to school,
families being together.
May these days of great disruption bear out what is always true:
That we can reach others with the love you provide when our roots remain in you.
Amen.
Coorymeela Community
Welcome back
It was with great joy that we welcomed our whole school back together on Friday. It would seem that a profound event in all of our lives has come to an end as we move from the pandemic to the endemic. We do not quite know what the next few months will have in store for us. In the meantime we will celebrate and be thankful for the gifts and joy that the children bring to our school.
Staffing Update
I am very please to be able to announce that:
Kate Wooles (McGrath) has accepted a position at St Joseph’s for 2022. Kate is well known to our school as she has Archie and Eve here, she has been a regular CRT and is currently working in E1. We welcome Kate to our school on a more permanent basis and congratulate her on this appointment.
Amy Wormald has also accepted a teaching appointment for 2022. Amy has completed two sets of teaching rounds at St Joseph’s and is a past student. I congratulate her and welcome her to our staff.
