SPORTS REPORT, WEEK 7
St. Joseph’s Sports Report Week 7, Term 2 2021
Cross Country 2021
Well done to all those who competed in the Division Cross Country Finals last Monday. Ten students have advanced to participate in the Regional Cross Country which was scheduled for today, however the current Victorian lockdown has prevented this event from occuring today. Once we receive news on any new sporting dates we will post them on the P.E Google Classroom and on the School Calendar. Special thanks once again to Mr Elhage for his expert coaching and supervision on the day.
Final preparations for Winter Sports - Football, Netball, Tee Ball and Soccer
The Winter Sports Finals were proposed to be this Thursday 3rd June. Unfortunately, the current Victorian Lockdown restrictions have forced our District to reassess these arrangements. We will notify the students of the new proposed date as soon as we have been made aware of one. Special thanks to the following coaches for their time spent training the children: Football, Matthew McMillan; Netball, Michelle McIntyre-Hand; Soccer Jeff Vizon and Kristian Thompson and Tee Ball; Andy McCombe and Michelle Nicolson.
Football Training on the Ovals.
Once we return to school, any students who have been selected to play in the School Football team need to bring long pants, long sleeve tops and boots for footy practice. Students must bring a bag with these named items to participate in any further sessions throughout the term.
Children are also to be reminded that under no circumstances are they allowed to wear their footy gear and boots into the senior building after practice or lunchtime, they are to be left outside the building on the deck so that the rooms stay clean during the winter months.
St Joseph’s Sports Uniforms
We are still asking that students return their St Joseph’s polos and athletics tops for our upcoming competitions this term. If you have them at home please return them to the office . Thanks.
Regards,
