2020 FIRST EUCHARIST (GRADE 4)
First Eucharist is a Sacramental Program for Year 4 students who have been Baptised and Confirmed.
Please complete this form and make a $25 contribution payment, to meet the cost of materials, through CDFpay (our online ordering system).
Registrations closes on Friday 7th August, 2020.
A kit containing the materials and information to prepare your child for the Celebration of First Eucharist will be available approximately two weeks after registrations have closed. We will contact families with collection details.
This year Eucharist will be run a little differently with children working through the materials at home with a parent rather than the traditional family group meetings at school. In Term 2 the Confirmation (Year 3) program was run with this new format and the feedback we received indicated that this worked well.
The Parish team are putting together an information video for parents to view in their own time in place of a face to face Parent Information evening. A link to this video will be made available through a future newsletter.
Please contact the Parish Office on (03) 5562 2231 if you have any queries.
Years 3 - 6; Skipping Focus in Term 3!
During Term 3 Physical Education classes in Years 3 - 6, we have each set goals to skip continuously for as long as possible! Students have been practising this life skill to not only improve their physical fitness but also to strengthen their heart muscles too! We have been choosing different tricks and challenges from the Jump Rope for Heart Website, which includes some fantastic instructional videos to learn from too. In order to continue this focus during Remote Learning we have offered every student in Years 3 - 5 a School Skipping Rope to take home with them today. Please look after this rope as best you can aim to return it to school after Remote Learning.
We understand that the weather in August is not going to be as motivating for students to continue to exercise. With this in mind, we hope that by having their own skipping rope to use in the garage and out of the weather, the students will be keen to continue practising this great skill. Mr McMillan and I will continue to post other ideas for fitness via the Google Classroom, and we encourage students to share any videos or photos of them skipping, so that we can use these to motivate others.
If you have any questions or concerns, then please feel free to email us at sport@sjwarrnambool.catholic.edu.au

We have recently had a revamp of our lost property to make it easier for children to find their jumpers and jackets. Thanks to Sharyn and Andrew for all their work with this. During this process we returned any labelled jumpers and jackets.
Unfortunately the remaining jumpers and jackets are either unnamed or have illegible names.
At the office we have a “special lost property” some small and/or valuable items. Please take a look at these photos and let the office know if anything belongs to your family.
