“Minasan Konnichiwa. Lloyd Sensei.”
After only 4 weeks of learning Japanese remotely, the Junior Students have learnt up to 10 different colour vocabulary in Japanese, counting up to, and past the number 10 and also about a significant cultural event in Japan! They have been so busy at home, not only revising and learning new language skills but undoubtedly teaching their parents some Japanese too!
Thank you to all the parents for supporting your child's learning of a new language, but also for supporting our efforts in providing an adequate curriculum for them, whilst they are learning from home. We are currently working on a display in the Len Hogan area at school, so that the students will have something to look at upon their return.
Here are a few samples of work that I have so proudly received in my in-box over the last few weeks.
SPORTS UNIFORM STOCKTAKE 2020!
One positive aspect that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on us at school, is that we have time to start cleaning out the school sport gear. We have also had a chance to count how many uniforms we actually have on site.
I know that I have used this forced time at home to clean out our wardrobes. If you also have done a clean out and have come across any School Sports Uniforms- then please wash and dry them, and return them to the school office ASAP. This will make the remainder of the year more organised, and hopefully we get the chance for the students to actually wear the uniforms with pride by playing sport competitively again!
