SHORT TERM CHANGES TO SCHOOL ACCESS
I am writing to you today to inform you of works that are about to commence on replacing the walking bridge over Russells Creek at the rear of the school.
St Joseph's Primary School have been working with the Warrnambool City Council over the past 12 months on this project.
The work will involve removing the current (and fenced off) bridge, replacement with a new stronger concrete platform bridge and new footpaths connecting the bridge to the school crossing.
Work vehicles have started to arrive on site, with areas being fenced off and preparation works commencing.
To ensure the safety of our students while trucks and cranes are on site, from this Wednesday 13th November, access via the rear roadway at the back of the tennis courts will be closed, pick ups and drop offs will not be allowed at the tennis courts, these gates will be closed. You will still be able to use the Allen Oval gateway to travel to and from school. This closure will then remain in place until the site has been cleared of all equipment.
The contractor is expecting works to be finished by the end of this next week (weather permitting).
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works.
Orders are open via CDFPay for Sports Team and School Representation photos and close on Friday 15th November. Photos are $20 each.
