2024 ANNUAL REPORT TO COMMUNITY
Scholastic Bookclub
We hope everyone received Issue 4 of the Scholastic Book Club last week. If you are looking for another copy, we have spare catalogues in the LRC at the Circulation Desk.
First time ordering from Book Club?
You can order books via the website or download the App from the App store: Be sure to select ‘St Josephs School’ and then add your children and their classes. Once you’ve logged in once on the App - it should remember you each time, which makes it easier to order in the future!
You also have the option to tick the “GIFT” box when ordering. This is a great opportunity to purchase Birthday Gifts and we will sit them aside secretly for your collection from the Office.
Closing date for all current Book Club orders is Friday 20th June, 2025.
Premiers' Reading Challenge
A reminder for students in Foundation to Year 2 to login and start searching and adding books to their ‘Dashboard.’ All classes are trying to become the winning class in their Year level by reading the most books by September! Here is the current leader board for each Year Level.
Parents are able login into your child/children’s ‘dashboard’ to start entering the books they are reading or have finished reading with you at home. We have been entering some books that are read at school too. This is purely an optional activity for you to complete with your child at home.
Enrolments for Foundation students for 2026 are now OPEN.
All applications are to be submitted by
4:00pm Wednesday 11th June, 2025.

All of our enrolments are completed online, via the Enrolment/Online Enrolment Form page on the schools website.

Parent Teachers Interviews and Reports
At 4pm on Friday 27th June, Semester 1 reports will be released via the Parent Access Module (PAM) accessible from the SZApp and our website. These reports provide families with information about children’s progress socially, academically and behaviorally. The written report will be accompanied by each child’s “Work Sample Folder”. This folder will contain examples of the children’s work across the semester. It may include a range of subjects, assessment pieces, unedited work and published pieces.
Following the reports we will be conducting the mid-year Parent Teacher Interviews. These are designed for two way communication between parents and teachers to further discuss children’s progress. These are held from 3:40pm - 6:00pm on Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July.
Parent Teacher Interviews can be booked via PAM are are now open.
Parents are welcome to book a phone call or come into school for a face to face meeting.
'Illuminate your creative heart and mind’
1-5 September 2025
Our Theme this year is, 'Illuminate your creative heart and mind’. It will incorporate Art, Music and Dance to celebrate the Arts in a fun and engaging way.
Our program works with classes from Foundation to Year 6. Our activities run from 10:45am - 1:00pm each day finishing with a final assembly on Friday. We will be having: a music incursion with workshops for all year levels, a night walk, arts rotations and many arts activities, displays and competitions throughout the week.
Community and Parent Volunteers
In the past many community and parent volunteers participated in our program. These activities ranged from painting, tap dancing, wood work, felt making, Martial Arts and crafting, just to name just a few. If you have a skill, talent or passion for the arts and would be willing to share an appropriate activity to primary age students, we would love to hear from you. The more volunteers we have the smaller the groups can be. If you are interested and would like more information please contact me by email. A current Working with Children Check would be required to work with students.
