Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
A Prayer for Pope Leo XIV
Lord, as Pope Leo XIV undertakes the role of leader let him be affirmed by the servant leadership we witness in your son Jesus.
Guide Pope Leo in the path Jesus has set and let those who will, follow.
Let his greatest passion be compassion.
His greatest strength love.
His greatest victory the reward of peace.
In leading let him never fail to follow.

It has been a very busy few months for the PSA, and I would like to again extend a huge thankyou to all of our volunteers who have given their time and energy to support our events and initiatives. We appreciate the support of our parents and families and your understanding that our increased fundraising schedule for 2025 is all about delivering the most fantastic and exciting new playground we can for our middle/senior school area.
We have held very successful events including the Election Day BBQ and Cake stall which raised a significant amount of funds towards the new playground. Thanks to all the parents who got behind the tables on the day, and all the families who baked for us. We had 4 groaning trestle tables laden with cakes which were very popular and almost sold out by 11am.
Mother's Day festivities also proved very popular once again in celebrating our St Joseph's mums. Thanks to those who helped source and wrap the wonderful pressies that our very excited children were able to choose from, as well as those who took part in running the stall. Our Mothers Day breakfast also proved another resounding success thanks to our volunteers who set up the hall and prepared food the day before, as well as those who helped out on the day with distributing the significant number of orders we received for the morning. We do have another wonderful fundraising opportunity coming up in June over the King's Birthday Long Weekend. On Saturday the 7th of May St Josephs will be running the Bunnings BBQ and so we are again putting out a call out for volunteers to help in two hours shifts throughout the day, and for families to bake for a cake stall. The more we can raise from this opportunity the more exciting the final playground can be.
Finally I would like to share some of the concept designs for the new playground you have heard so much about. For over a year and a half a small group has put in a lot of hours researching options and liaising with potential suppliers to be able to deliver this significant piece of school infrastructure. It is very exciting to be at this stage and the PSA is looking forward to being able to deliver on this long term project in the Term 3 holidays.
