Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and the wider St. Joseph’s Primary School Community,
A Prayer for the Children Preparing to Celebrate their First Eucharist for the First Time
Jesus,
Through the Eucharist, we recognise you, we remember you and we become one with you.
In the coming weeks of preparation, we pray that these children also know you in the breaking of the bread and the sharing of the cup.
We pray that sharing at your table enables them to lead Eucharistic lives in which they work for unity and peace in our community and our world.
We ask God’s richest blessings on them as they journey with you.
Amen
Insight SRC Surveys
Last week families were randomly selected to complete the Insight SRC surveys. These families received a letter with a unique password and username. This survey only takes about 10 mins to complete.
This survey data is really taken very seriously by our staff, particularly the leadership team. Along with PAT, NAPLAN and the Enhancing Catholic School Identity survey the Insight data provides feedback to us in our progress in working towards our school improvement objectives i.e. Wellbeing, Teaching and Learning and Catholic School Culture.
So, if you did receive survey information please take the time to complete it as the more families that complete the surveys the more accurate our data will be. If you are unable or unwilling to do the survey please return the note so that we can pass it on to another family.
Thanks in advance.
Disco
Thanks to everyone in the PSA who has coordinated and organised this event. There is an air of excitement around the school as posters and song requests have come into the office. Please be patient as you are dropping off and collecting children remembering that people are volunteering and that safety is our number 1 priority.
2023 $10,000 Business Raffle
A big thanks to Cathy Duynhoven who has attracted 41 sponsors who have all contributed towards our raffle for this year. Each family will receive their 4 x 25 tickets this week.
This is our major fundraiser for the year and we are aiming to raise in excess of $30,000.
As the sponsors' donations have contributed to the raffle costs the price of every ticket sold creates 100% profit for our school. We are planning on using the funds raised in upgrading the senior playground in the space where the spider frame once stood.
The other positive in this raffle is that the $10,000 is spent back with our sponsors thus giving back to those who are supporting us.
But Wait! There’s More! The seller of the winning ticket gets their 2024 Family Fee (at least $1,380 based on the 2023 fees) credited off their school fee account.
Wow! Good luck and thanks for your support.
These tickets will come home with your oldest child on Wednesday.
Regards
