All Saints Day Prayer
Bless the many parted souls,
who lived their lives with grace.
Bless the saints in heaven,
gathered in that special place.
May we tell their storiesand remember all the ways
they lived their faithand spent their days.
There is glory and reward,
even if at first there’s strife.
Oh, blessed saints, you help us see
a path that’s to eternal life.
May we always hold them dear
and know their life and place.
May we know their inspiration
and aspire to their grace.
VCE Good Luck
Good luck to all of the children (and their parents) facing their VCE exams at the moment.
Tom Sexton Visit
Tom Sexton, Executive Director of Catholic Education Ballarat will visit our school on Friday 11:45-1:45. Among other things Tom will ratify our review recommendations and meet our some of our students and the staff.
Staffing Update
Georgia Johnson begins maternity leave this Wednesday. We wish Georgia every happiness as she begins this new chapter in her life.
We will be advertising for 3 trainee positions in the coming fortnight. These young people will be employed to support teaching and learning and wellbeing across the school. Trainees complete a certificate 111 in Education Support through TAFE. I believe this model creates another level of support for our children and our programs. These positions will be advertised to Emmanuel Year 12 2021 students. If you know of anyone suitable, please let them know.

Due to the Thunderstorm Asthma Warning last week Walk to School Day, sponsored by South West Credit, is now Tuesday 2nd November. It's an event when all primary school children are encouraged to walk, cycle or bus to school. It's a great way to build regular walking to and from school into daily routines. Walking with friends is a great way to be part of your community. Walking and riding to school will also keep you fit and healthy. Remember if you're a long way from St Joes, you can get dropped off and walk part of the way.
There are heaps of prizes like drink bottles and pencils to be won. The class that walks, rides or skates the most gets a fruit platter. If you can’t take part please slow down in local streets and make eye contact with students at intersections.

Stole
Parents will have received an iron on Eucharist transfer for their child. Wear the stole with the Baptism and Diocese transfers on the right side. The Eucharist symbol should be placed on the stole.
COVID Vaccination
Due to the current COVID guidelines all adults attending the Celebration of Eucharist are required to be fully vaccinated.

TERM 4 RAFFLE-ST JOSEPH'S BUSINESS OWNERS
For our Term 4 raffle this year we are wanting to support all of our own families. If you are a St Joseph’s family and you own a business we want to support you this year!
We hope to list as many businesses as possible and the winners of the raffle can select any business to receive their voucher from.
So we don’t miss anyone, if you are a business owner can you please fill in this form attached with your business details so I can include you.
Last year we used this raffle to support our fair sponsors but without the fair this year we wanted to open it and include everyone. The feedback I received last year from the business owners and members of our school community was that the extra exposure and advertising these businesses received was amazing!
We are also going to try and run the raffle in an online format. A link will be sent out to all families and will be made available via our newsletter; you can forward this onto your family, friends and relatives to purchase tickets.
The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 15th December.
If you are a business owner click here and complete by Friday 5th November.
Volunteers Needed
We rely on our volunteers and are also in need of more parents to assist. Canteen can only run 5 days a week if we have sufficient volunteers. Can you help?
Training is arranged by our Canteen Co-ordinator Tanya Hughes. Please consider volunteering, even if only once per term, all help most appreciated.
